magic system are from mali & 311 is from morocco(?)/algeria(?) but they are both based in france.

which is probably the most misogynistic video i've ever seen, but the beginning of it, especially the "scrub it, girl" line is hilarious. he sings in punjabi, i think. or hindi? either way, its derogatory, but i kind of still like it. my liberal all-women's college education is failing me hard.
Johnny Ragga- Abshewi
sick ethiopian reggae (yes, reggae) all you trustifarians out there forget that the rastafari believe that ethiopian leader haile selassi was the jah incarnate. "abshewi" means "ethiopian woman" in amharic, and apparently he is singing about how beautiful ethiopian women are. thats as far as i got in the comprehension department.
