okay, okay, i confess. i love reading those online confessional websites like grouphug.com. it may sound self-serving & cruel, but i always feel just the teeniest bit more well-adjusted after reading them. who can blame me? but this one takes the cake. http://iamneurotic.com/. i am neurotic is a collection of other people's neuroses (did i spell that right?) thrown out there in cyberspace for all of our personal enjoyment. or maybe you'll find one that sounds eerily familiar and realize that maybe you aren't so alone, after all.

oooh duckies i hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th! i hope you all did the american thing and grilled lots of meat and drank lots of beer. me? i sat on vanessa's sofa and got leh to the face while watching the Boston Pops' fireworks SPECTACULARRR (the all-caps just felt so necessary). i've never been a big 4th of july reveler to begin with, so i felt like i commemorated the birth of our nation in a way true to myself. meh. what else? ah yes, the tour-guiding gig which i love to hate. twice in a row now i've had buses of HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BANDS FROM MINNESOTA. no way, you say. yes way, i counter. its moments like that when i have to ask myself if it gets any geekier. i can say with some degree of certainty that it, in fact, does not. watching them though, aside from the brutal combination of "high-school band kid" & native midwesterners, it makes me realize that you could NEVER pay me enough to go back to high school, although, i must confess (and not without a certain degree of smugness) that i am that girl who is sosososososo excited to go back and laugh at everyone at her 5th year reunion.
