self-explanatory title... the first 2 are from an 2001/02 (i can't remember exactly) vogue editorial (my alllllltime flavorite) where they took inspiration from alice in wonderland, giving it a spin by throwing the designers in there as well as the models (john galliano as the queen of hearts, anyone? anyone?) karl as the caterpillar...

aaaaand this piece of editorial eye-candy is my momma & her redpanda tiki face. this is enough to make me want to pack up and move to berlin. like RIGHT NOW.

sooo...my new lifestyle of leisure has provided me with a lot of, well, leisure time= plenty of time to perv around on deh internetz. i realize that i might be a little behind the times here, but one of my newest obsessions is the photo-sharing website flickr, where photogz from the whole world over can post their work. i, for one, do not have any work to post, but i am fo' realz lovin' on the fact that one can browse the sites and see some truly amazing stuff...you can enter keywords to search flickr "pools," or just wander aimlessly in the wonderfulness of its all. here are a few of my fav flickr sites so far, just to get you started...

check out nikola tamindzic's website "home of the vain" here: http://homeofthevain.com/. she has an amazing eye, which is obvious when you look at her "photo of the day." every day she adds another one. her images are, in a word, SEXY. unbelieveably sexy. the light, the poses, the fabulous people she uses as her subjects...all are GORGEOUS. enjoy it. let me know what your favorites are.

wonderland

ok, ok, one last thing and then ill leave all y'all alone. check out this site:http://www.yeondoojung.com/artworks_view_wonderland.php?no=88. the photographer, yeon doo jung, has a photography project called "wonderland" that will honestly make you say "why didn't i think of that?" he takes children's drawings and brings them to life, quite literally, in his photographs, staging them according to the way things are set up in the drawings. cool concept, and its even cooler that he is verrrry careful not to let his adult perception cloud things, and tries his hardest to preserve that...hmmm...is wonderment the right word? that is so inherent in the imaginations of kids. from their minds to paper to through his lens. it makes you feel like the world isn't so boring after all.
